I'd like to wish you all a very safe and joyous Christmas season. Enjoy the time you spend with your family and friends. I sure do miss being with my family this year.
It's Christmas Eve and its already in the low 80's this morning. Just doesn't feel like the commercial version of Christmas we've all grown accustomed to, with the lights and the radio blaring "Grandma got run over by a reindeer", and the "Dickens of a Christmas" in downtown Roanoke, there's no snow here, no kids in mittens and stocking caps and there's no Christmas tree in the living room with my family.
What they do have is Mele Kalikimaka playing EVERYWHERE you go!!! And Santa didn't come in on a sleigh, he paddled up to the resort in an outrigger canoe with 8 tiny menehune. But I do have great friends here and most of all the Spirit of Christmas prevails through all, after all, CHRISTmas is the celebration of the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ. This is what lets me know, when I'm applying suntan lotion down at the beach to keep from burning, that Yes! it is Christmas.
Have a great time and take care of each other. Much love to all my family and friends, I miss you very much. Aloha.
